The agglomeration of apartment units as well as the improvement of living conditions in a suburb of the city of Nuernberg lead to radical question: Can the traditional German single-family house be integrated into urban development with all the benefits of a modern city?
The traditional Ideal of living in 21th century hasn´t changed in the past century. All groups of society still dream the same content," building one´s own home " is still a future vision right across all the social classes.
The design explores whether the principles of the single-family house can be implemented into a high-density building in an urban surrounding, serving as a perfect link between social and cultural diversity.
Its creative response presents itself in a the concise "elements of design" (Roof, Garden, Garden Fence, Connection, Hobby Room) The key-elements of a traditional house, are identified, re-interpreted and merged in a condensed way.
